Don'ts
Don’t buy the plan before you understand all points of it. The main aim and advantage of health insurance is to provide additional compensation of the earnings, which you won’t get if you die or get seriously injured. Consider this when choosing life insurance.
Don’t purchase life insurance if you don’t have dependents.
Don’t stop comparing. Compare the coverage, co-payments, the list of hospitals and practitioners in your neighborhoods etc.
Don’t forget to check if the insurance plan provides dental and vision correction coverage. Don’t purchase an accidental death policy. Health insurance coverage shouldn’t be on the same level both for accidental and natural death.
Don’t annul your current health insurance plan if you decided to change it for another one. Wait until you get the new one or, if the first variant is impossible, get yourself a temporary insurance.
Don’t be afraid to waste your time and meet a couple of insurance agents. This will help you to compare their propositions and make the right choice. Ask you friends and relatives about their positive or negative experience with insurance companies.
Don’t invest you entire health or life insurance policy. The level of interest of such investment can be not very high.
Don’t forget about lifetime limit of your insurance. The higher it is - the better.
Don’t look for an insurance, which will cover all medical treatment since there is no such. Your current illness can be excluded from coverage.
