Besides of the monthly premium expense, you may have other out-of-pocket costs. These costs can really increase, especially if you have children or other family members who see the doctor frequently. You have to check if the health insurance plan you are considering requires you to pay any or all of the following:

- Co-payment: The amount of money you will have to pay each time you visit a health insurance provider.
- Deductible: The amount of money you will have to pay toward your medical expenses before the insurer begins to pay claims.
- Coinsurance: The part of your medical costs you will have to pay after you reach any deductibles that apply.

Where can You Obtain Health Insurance?
You may obtain health insurance through a group plan at work or through another group affiliation, such as school, club, etc. You may also obtain health insurance through a purchasing an individual plan on your own. The second allows you to customize the health plan.
